Decorate a round stairs empty!

Great problem: how can decorate a round stairs without using a colour for the walls?
This is a work that we had made for a customer in Italy.

So we have choosen a phrase (H. Hesse is beautiful), we have choosen a font, and started to bring the characters of the sentence on the black adhesive paper (about 154 characters ...), then cropping, decide how to place them in space e. .. finally paste them.

The letters are modeled one by one from a template of the size of about 10 cm.
